The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. The program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme, while increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education.

Congratulations to Reece Blumenthal, a fifth grader in Ms. Mertel’s classroom, who recently won first place at the state level for Outstanding Interpretation in the music composition category within the Special Artist division of the 2015-16 PTA Reflections program!!  Reece composed a song called “A Day in the Life of a Bunny” (click here to listen) on the piano.  Reece will now move on to compete at the national level.
